Don Suggs was a Fort Worth-born, Los Angeles-based painter whose presence was a mainstay in the Los Angeles art scene as an educator at UCLA, an editor, and exhibited artist. His oeuvre straddled art historical periods and styles as varied as Hard-edge, Appropriation, Conceptualism, Photorealism, and Pop art during his over five decade long career. Amongst many notable works, he was best known for his collages, which used existing images to create new visual narratives.
